On 30 October we learnt that Elmbridge Borough Council will run another formal consultation on The Paddocks (2025/1097). This follows new documents from the developer, including an Addendum to the Environmental Statement dated 22 October 2026.
You can view the two new documents on the planning portal. They are listed under supporting documents, both dated 22/10/2026.
What happens next
- The consultation will be advertised in the local press on 6 November, and will cover all the amendments, updates and other information the council has received.
- There will be a further round of consultations and neighbour notifications.
- The new deadline for comments is Monday 7 December.
This means The Paddocks is unlikely to go to the Planning Committee before January 2027. It will not be heard on 10 November.
Why this is good news
Residents now have more time to object to the changes, and we have more time to sharpen our case against this unsustainable and unsuitable development. It came a few days after SDRA wrote to Elmbridge asking which consultation process it was following.
We continue to work behind the scenes with transport and environmental consultants, and other interested parties.
